Here We Go Again.

So. Wheel of Time readthrough (or Let's Read, if you will). Let's start, shall we?

The backstory: This insane dude wanders through a mansion full of people that he killed, not even realizing the carnage. (He's the greatest hero in history, to give you an idea of how screwed this universe is.) An obviously evil guy comes up to him and grants him temporary sanity, after getting pissed off at the fact that he keeps on bugging his dead wife to get up and serve drinks. The dude (Lews Therin Telamon, for reference) starts screaming.

...and we cut to a guy called Rand al'Thor walking along the countryside with his father Tam, going to this town called Emond's Field. Well, trudging is a better word, since there's kind of a blizzard going on, but whatever. So far so good, but Rand gets as creeped out as f*** when he sees a dude in a black cloak on a black horse looking at him. His dad doesn't see it, hilariously.

So they enter the town (more of a village, really), and Rand starts hanging out with Mat Cauthon, one of his buddies. They talk cock for a while, then Mat mentions that he saw the black guy as well. The plot thickens. Oh, and we get introduced to Egwene al'Vere, Rand's Official Love Interest #1.

Lots of rumours in the town, including that some dude in some far-off place has declared himself the reincarnation of Lews Therin, or The Dragon for short. As The Dragon has been prophesied to be the one to destroy the world, this is a Bad Thing. Oh, and lots of strangers coming in for the town annual Spring Festival, Bel Tine. Yippee-do-ray.

Okay, that about wraps up Eye of th World, Chapters 1-2, as well as the Prologue. Do comment on my style, and suggest improvements. Thanks.
